The members and players of {LFNY} feel strongly about keeping our servers peaceful and a place where players can find a little relief from the real world and of course interact with other good people. We pride ourselves on respect. You see, we're all adults, most over 30, some 40 and even 50+. We treat everyone with respect and we're firm concerning the operation of our servers, but fair to all. Everyone is equal. People play in our server to chat a bit and make some friends but priority one is we're there ultimately to play and have fun. Below are some guidelines regarding the level of conduct we expect from players while on our servers.
Chatter:
We like to chit chat as much as anyone but when someone comes in who appears to have more priority in chatting with constant console messages, it gets distracting and annoying to the others in the server. Take it off line to a chat environment like msn messenger or something and chat away. Just don’t use the game for it.
Swearing and Insults:
Cursing and insults will not be tolerated in the game as well as on our forum. To all who are young, full of energy and have a tendency toward foul language and insult, please find somewhere else to play. If you come here and play a respectful game, following the rules and show respect for everyone, you'll never have a problem.
Admin Respect:
Team members are hand picked very carefully. Every one of our people approaches every player with respect, discretion in decision and caries themselves as the adults. We are never quick to kick or ban, we'll approach an offender with reason and take the time to explain in hopes that the offender is able to reason just the same and see that our interest is only to promote the server rules so all who come here can continue to have fun with every change of the map. Show your Admins, designated by the {LFNY} tags, the respect they deserve and rest assured you will receive that respect in return.
Game Play:
We are a NoRnG (No Run and Gun) tactical stealth hunt team, meaning we actively hunt our subjects with quiet determination. We remain crouched, employing strategy and stealth in our attempt to out sneak our opponent. A NoRnG tactical stealth hunt can be applied to maps of any size. Picking spots to stop and scan is a natural part of the game and we don't have a problem with that type of tactic, but we do encourage an active hunt, meaning players should be seeking their objectives and keep the game moving rather than sitting and waiting. This is what we promote and is further described in our FAQ.
Cheating:
Our servers are controlled by punk buster and are pure. We’ve never thought to alter any game to create an un-fair advantage and consider it pretty sad if one does. If your game play is questionable, expect to be spectated and demo recorded. Unfortunately, picking up the use of wallhacks, aimbots and other cheats is very easy to do and some players feel they just have to do it. We consider cheating the gravest of violations and a lifetime ban will be the only appropriate punishment if caught doing so. Player information will also be shared among the many communities we associate with to make the ban as global as possible. Just don’t do it.
Spectating:
If you are going to spectate for an extended period of time, please notify an admin if present. Spectating for an extended period of time may result in being kicked to make space for others who are trying to join. Spectating to gain an advantage over an opposing team is considered cheating and will not be tolerated. See the section regarding cheating.
